This whitepaper presents the findings from a wide–ranging survey of HTML5 video tag usage, browser performance, and compatibility with third–party plug-ins, such as advertising and analytics. The results indicate that any video player that utilizes the HTML5 video tag must account for major variances in all of these areas to ensure consistent playback and stable plug–in behavior across devices.
